Dichotomy of Levitation
Mysterious Quality or Power

Did not start out to create this shot for Levitation, as it came together my thoughts changed and this is the result. No major elements have been removed did swatches of background and matched color to blend

Crop and tone in Raw
Select stand stem and match color, and blend to background.
Same principle for top of stand, and top of light base
Selective color to background that is a white wall
Spot heal reflections
Ni
Match color, purple fabric. For final color effect.
Tone map Artizen Lock06 Slider adjustments
Brightness/Contrast
Levels
Border.

Levitation is Dichotomy in itself, the division between subject and matter, air being the division.

Was not able to remove the stem of the table in fear of DQ for removing major ellements, How many saw the lamp was not sitting on the table.

Thanks for the votes.

an interesting image. i did notice the lamp levitating on the table, but am afraid the purple rather blew everything else away. it's very, well, purple.

Really not fond of the processing on this and I'm sure you're already taking a beating so that's all I'll say on that. As far as the challenge I think you've met it but I wouldn't have gotten that without the title so I think your title was a great choice.

Almost there. I can see the stem of the table at the bottom.

Clone tool my good man.

Your choice of colours is bold and unusual, however I can't pretend I understand your intentions and how the concept represents dichotomy.
