I love watermelon but I don't understand the title... 7

Good focus and use of available light, but i think it would have been more effective if the camera angle was lower showing it from a different perspective. That may have helped you eliminate that one little glare as well. karmat

I'm not sure I like the lighting of this, perhaps more light on the watermelon to get rid of the shadows, you may have had a different intent.

The shadows on your watermelon is lovely--not to mention the grass. Our yard is not that verdant green and healthy at the end of summer.

nice morning shot.

The light ON the watermellon is a little bright and the light around the mellon is a bit dark. However, the focus and clarity are really great. I think I would like to have seen some of the inside of this mellon too. The angle and framing are good. I like how the watermellon is not centered, but off center slightly. Overall nice photo. Good luck in the challenge. ~HBunch7187~

nice idea to keep the photo all in shades of green, melon's make a great subject for this challenge. i would've preferred some more even lighting, either put it all the way in the shade (probably better, no sun reflection) or all the way in the sun. -- gr8photos.

It's a fine shot of a watermelon, nice shadows, but still what's holding my interest? 7 Swash

nice idea, off center a bit, a dash of color would be nice?

You have effectively captured the challenge by photographing this watermelon... In my opinion, the subject lacks punch or pizazz. When I look at this photo, I say to myself, "Yep... that's a watermelon." I am looking for an eye-catching view... something that intrigues me... some part of the image that I can get lost in... When making photos for the challenges, keep in mind that visual impact plays an important role :) - jmsetzler
