Solid color bird feathers are always difficult to capture, because the one color tends to over saturate, and they are usually so much brighter than anything else in the BG. The bird in this is very nice, the BG, not so exciting. Perhaps a wider aperture to throw the BG more out of focus would have worked to improve the overall score. The peacocks are a beautiful bird, with their glowing feathers. |

I love this, I can't believe it didn't score better! The colors, the colors the composition it all works well here I think. Great shot! |

Well I think it is a gorgeous photo and I love the blue! It looks in focus to me and I love that the bird is staring into the neg space. Pretty photo! |

I very much like this version of a peacock - everyone always takes pics of their showy tails, and this focuses on their equally gorgeous head plummage. |

Nice focus on the peacock. The negative space would be more effective if the DOF had been just a weeeee bit shallower, though, so that the texture of the wall wasn't distracting. |
