Thanks for all of your comments. I thought this image would do better, but after reading the comments I think I didn't do a good enough job telling the story.
The lights to right are automobiles on the freeway. Notice the white lights coming,and the red lights going. The idea is that as war memories (or nightmares) fade, a new reality appears that can be just as frightening and disconcerting as the immediate life and death situations that one faces in war-time. |

Very interesting effect. I'll be anxious to know your technique for partial transparency. Composition is good, though I'm tempted to crop the sky just a little. The bright light just behind his head gets a lot of attention. |

very unusual I thought this was a bit wierd at first but It is really very clever work

Ghost recon? Nice transparent effect. The light in the upper right is a little distracting, but I like the composition and the concentration. |

The dim lighting on the person versus bright background gets your message across very effectively. The large out-of-focus structure at the right does pull the viewer's eye away from the main subject, unfortunately. |
