Hi Inma its so easy to get lost in such a big challenge, I Like this shot, the Bw conversion looks Ok to me. Good luck with the next one.

there are so many patches of light and dark its hard to know where it focus

Check the background. The second man from the right looks like he's wearing a headdress -- it's a woman in the background. Other than that, a nice candid. Nice processing.
