Taken during the DC GTG.
The processing is actually quite simple (and I believe would be legal in Basic).
Straightened horizon, replace color, selective color, levels, resize, sharpen, save for Web.
The selective desat was accomplished via replace color and selective color
(the thing that made it easy was that there really were no other yellows, oranges, or reds in the shot - except the flames).
In PS:
Image/Adjustments/Replace Color
Using eyedropper select part of the dark green grass
Increase Fuzziness to about 125-130%
Move the Saturation bar all the way to the left
Click OK
Repeat to remove the hints of blue and any remaining "color" other than the flames
I used Selective Color to increase the saturation (and slightly shift the flame hues), then increased overall color sat and adjusted levels.
That's it! :-)
Shooting Mode: Aperture-Priority AE
