Greetings from the Critique Club!
The message
This is a nice view of a large city after dark. The shapes of the buildings show well here, and the thousands of lights create interesting textures throughout the image.
Creative choices
The panaroma format is a good choice for photos of this genre, and mostly works well here. The wide angle is perhaps too extreme for the small pixel dimensions allowed for DPChallenge entries (and especially the even smaller ones used here); it makes the image a bit muddy. The composition is a bit unbalanced, a lot brighter on the left, which makes the perfectly straight photo seem to slant slightly. The blacks are probably recorded accurately, but they aren't very black. Using levels to make them a bit darker would improve the image.
Technical aspects
The major technical problem is that a high jpeg compression created lots of artifacts that reduce the detail. The wind didn't help the sharpness either, although there wasn't much you could do about that. |

Would have been better at larger size, and glare of car lights are a litle distracting. |

Very, very nice city scape. Wonderfully exposed. |

Very small image, but you've captured lots of detail and even the traffic at left. The lights effectively take the stage here. |

This is a bit small. I would have like to seen this take full advantage of the 640px limit. Also, the blacks seem washed out and grey. Try adjusting the brightness/contrast. |

Beautiful panoram of the city, where did you take this? Is it my imagination or is the horizon slightly tipped to the left. |

Good, but it's tilting to the left (it appears). The balance of the left and right don't quite match because of the bright on the left vs. the right. |

Wish this were a bit bigger. The colors and texture capture the feel of the city at night nicely. The resolution isn;t so great, is this a crop out of a larger picture? |

It looks a bit like its running downhill from R to L. Its busy, which does convey something about the photo, but leaves me looking for some focal point. The size of the image is definitely not helping things. This has a lot of potential, but as is, its not terribly strong |

I'm sorry but this is just way too small. I would much rather see a small portion of this view where I can appreciate the detail. I'm sure that this would be the bomb as a poster size print but...

YOu've taken so much in in this wide angled shot that it looks like a jumbled mess with little detail. Not crazy about the colors either. |

This looks like a great panorama, but unfortunately the reproduction is so small it makes it hard to tell just how good it is. |

It's hard to get away with a panorama shot when you are limited to 640 pixels. You almost make it, but the shot is a bit overexposed. It also looks (may not really be) tilted a bit. |

Why so small? Maybe a little dark would be better. |
