 My first challenge entry. I've had my D80 for a hair over a week now and had a good shot with this storm tonight. This was also my second time ever playing with photoshop. Editing went something like this:

Levels
Brightness/contrast
Crop
Resize
Neatimage
USM

I'm not expecting a very good score as I'm just getting my feet wet in all of this, but we'll see what happens. I appreicate all comments and would love any feedback folks have to offer.

Good job.

Tip:

First thing to do is make sure the horizon is straight. Voters will skunk you for even slightly slanted horizons!

I like the lightning and the clouds. I like how the 15s shutter speed brought out the stars from behind the clouds.

This Picture has soo much potential. Pity about the soft focus and the sloping horizon. What are the white spots in the clouds?
