What a great way to show the majesty of a Great Dane, with him measuring up to those tall buildings. He was a lovely dog and I'm sure he will never really leave you.

Probably the best quote about a beloved pet. He is indeed a nobleman. They say that even once they've gone to the other realm, they are always around. We can't see them, but we can certainly sense their energy. I forgot how much I loved this image. Thanks for reposting it.

Now I miss my parent's GD - he's a gorgeous 5 months old miscoloured one ^^

(And, photo talk wise, it's a brilliant shot - I love the angle and the clear and simply symbolics.)

Oh this tells me how you feel about your dog. Makes me afraid to even think about doing a dog portrayal (as opposed to dogshots). Non pareil.

excellent photograph here, really awesome everything is positioned perfectly here.... the distance of the buildings and also that he is standing betwwen them.... with the photo being B&W that just adds to it alot

I loved this shot when I first saw it. I thought I had commented on it with a rambling story about a Great Dane I had like this but I guess I edited myself and never made the post. :D

Here is the comment in brief:
Love the perspecitve, i.e, the dog is the same height as the buildings
Love the pose, could never get one of my three Aussies to pose like this in a million years
Love the dog, I had a dog like this (Leo, short for Leopold which was inspired by the Bugs Bunny cartoon) and he died in a stupid, tragic way.

This is a really dynamic photo, Zeus! I hadn't seen it before. I love the juxtaposition between dog and buildings--and I'm glad you didn't skew the buildings so they were straight. The tilt makes it delightfully surreal!

Wow, this is one great shot. Did you get him to pose or was this "one in a million" kind of catch? The shape of the dog in contrast to the buildings is just perfect. He really stands out. Great b&w photo.
