 This is Jóna Kristín. Some of you may remember the photo I took of Henný for the Dirt challenge last December?



I always really liked that shot so me and Henný decided to do a 12 photo miniseries in that genre and call it "Dirty Pretty Things", click on the link to see the whole series on Flickr. As with the shot of Henný this is taken with an overcast sky and only lighting is ambient + 1 silver reflector.

Post processing not really as much as you would think, only takes me a couple of minutes but it´s rather excessive and I don´t expect everyone to like it, far from it. Raw conversion, channel mixer for black and white, high pass sharpening, some clone stamping to increase the dirt and some dodge burning.

This is my favorite photo from June so even though I don´t think it´ll score as well as my other free study entries this year I want to enter it.

Great! image..liked this a LOT during the challenge, & this is not a style I usually go for (I must be expanding my tastes here @ DPC :)
I believe this should have had a much stronger finish, sigh....

mmmm, is this a Larus special or a copy?
Doesn't really matter it is still a 10 image.

Its funny - even before I saw the title - the first word that came to my mind when I saw this photo was feral. She really looks like someone that was found wandering in the woods after being raised by wolves or something. Especially with that piercing gaze. Well executed photo - bumping up.

I wonder? this looks like one of Larus' shots. If it isn't, congratulations, you've hit his standard, and that I can say is very high. Great image.

This seems so Larus. This must be Larus. Great high key B&W. The DOF is perfect, the composition is also perfect, the model is perfect. As I said, this must be Larus. ;)

This is great. Captivating and make you want to know more. The eye also stands out very nicely. I also like the contrasting hair with the rest of the image. Very well done.
