Cute. But the flash makes our subjects a bit harsh

Wow very piercing eyes, and I like the fact that the left hand is subtly in the frame as well. At first I wondered whether it would have been better to crop out the top right hand corner so there was only the knotted branches in view but having looked at it a while I think this space actually gives the shot more context and works well

I like that there's more here than meets the eye; the hand lower down gives it a bit of punch, and the idea here is a good one for the challenge. The lighting here, which seems to be a flash, is a bit harsh for my eyes, and perhaps using natural light with a slower shutter speed might have made it appear more natural to me and a bit more subdued. To me, the person is hiding behind the tree, perhaps hoping not to be seen, and the harsh light detracts from that impression. Still, interesting elements throughout.

The eyes being in focus is a definite plus. However, because the tree is so dominately in front, and it is soft, it almost gives the impression that the whole shot is out of focus.

Hmmm. Don't see anyone...wait, there in the middle. I was looking on a third line. Ok.

Yep, I can't argue with that.

Yep, they do. Waldo would be more hidden if you had the tree/roots (or whatever the subject was) in focus.

Had to use fill flash huh? Oh well, I still like the idea, well done!

I want to be kind but...the flash light is too harsh and the focus isn't great either...sorry :-(
