I would be pleased to capture this image, Then I would mull over how could I get the posterior-most wing structure in sharp focus without sacrificing the DOF effect. Any suggestions? Good work. |

Wow! I was in Chicago this summer and there were a lot of these guys everywhere. I never really had a chance to photograph them though. Good color, and great use of the depth of field! |

Good use of shallow DOF in this photo...you got the angles/POV just right for it. Everything fades nicely towards the background. Great color and clarity as well. Excellent! |

Love the sharpness on the cicada. And the perspective makes it look like he's being launched at the viewer. |
