I took this independant of any DPC inspiration, but I decided that it was a good fit for the point of view challenge. The angle might not be especially unusual here, but I think the point of view definately is.. I hope people will see that and not mark me down thinking that this doesn't fit the challenge.
This is a bit of an unusual shot all around. It's in a bathroom. I know that the camera and tripod show up, and I didn't really have any intention of hiding them, although I'm sure some people won't like that.
With all that said, I think this shot is very neat, because just the light and dark reflections make for a very interesting black and white on the base of the knob, but then once you look at the head of the knob there's another whole composition there. I like very much that in the knob reflection I show up directly and also in the mirror. The icing on the cake for me is that if you look right where the head of the knob meets the base there is another great reflection of me, and me in the mirror, and it's all inverted from the way it appears on the head of the knob.
Ah yes, irregular reflective surfaces are fun!
Oh yeah, I expect this shot to get trounced in the score, but I'm going to guess that I'll get a few interesting comments as well. |

Now, THIS is really neat! Very creative, and the use of B&W is very appropriate. |

I wish I couldn't see the tripod and camera in the knob, but still nicely done. |

I love doing shots like this. If you look closely, I'm in 6 or 7 of my own challenge entries. The one thing I don't like about this oneis you can see the camera on tripod. Nice take on the self portrait AND camera angles though!

Creative and interesting - I was glad to see it wasn't an action shot ;)
Like the angle of the knob and the tight crop. |

I think you will do well. We humans love contact with other people, and this is the first visible person I have seen so far in this challenge. On top of that, your photo is of a very high standard - both in terms of quality of execution and originality. |

Unique shot. I like this, like the reflection and tones. I do think the crop on the top and bottom could of been a bit better so that they matched. Interesting work. Good luck in the challenge. |
