Should I be proud or ashamed that I can actually hide in my own garden due to the fact that it is so overgrown

Post Challenge

Well I got another bit of a mauling from the voters but to be honest I can see why. Waldo (aka me!) is well hidden but is the photo actually interesting (ie if it was not for the Waldo challenge then would I have taken it?) The answer to this is probably no. Still on the positive side I did manage to fool posthumous which did make me happy (I am very easily pleased)

Thanks for the comments a couple of which will be very useful interms of how to shoot for future challenges

Woops! NOW I see you... quite the stare, how could I have missed it?

Your subject (the english country garden) doesn't capture my interest.

Meets the challenge, and actually looks not unlike what my English garden looked like until I pulled out everything that didn't look like a tree that belonged there.

Okay, he's there, but the photo is just a jumble of plants that doesn't bring to mind my image of an English Country Garden.

I like the contrast between the pink and green, but there isn't a lot in the shot to hold the viewer's interest

Good hiding spot... just enough to blend in with the flowers.

Well hidden, but there's a serious white balance problem in the photo, giving a blue cast to all the plants. When shooting in cloudy light, it's often necessary to switch to manual white balance, and set it to a cloudy day setting. This will keep the rich greens true to colour.
