 All that was done to this shot was cropped slightly, changed to black and white, resized, and very mildly adjusted the brightness and contrast.

This is my resolution every year...thus the title.."Maybe this will be the year"

after seeing like 20 "stop smoking" pics i was going nuts. HOWEVER, this is my favorite. it is simple! did you try this pic w/the smokes being in focus and the box out...or somewhere inbetween???

Good idea, very creative. Maybe if the cigarette was in beter focus it could've been a really great shot but otherwise very good!

DOF is not deep enough to include the cigarette, which is an important element in this shot. Also, lighting seems uneven as evidenced by the fading of the printed message.

I would rather see the cigarette in focus as well. I think your interpretation of the resolution is creative and different from the "usual"

I quit 13 years ago.....I like the idea....very creative.....I think the cigarette in focus would have made this more powerful....only my opinion

personal prefrence would've been having the smoke in focus, the the box slightly out of focus.
really woulda been nice to see all the definition of the broken smoke..

I'm wondering if this shot wouldn't have been more affective if the wording was blurred slightly (but still readable) and the broken cigarette was more in focus. Nice job.
