This popped up as a random photo and I'm quite glad it did.
I love it! |

Nice one! I had the negative space textbook vs. DPC definition argument with my boyfriend because he defended a DNMC comment I got, lol. Mine was DPC compatable, yours textbook. I would love to try something like this now. |

Indeed it is a textbook example. Wish I'd seen this before the challenge! I didn't get to even look through this challenge this time, so I suspect most did what I did - more minimalism or "unused" rather than negative space. Very well done - and that little Powershot is serving you well lately. |

It sure is a good example! My eye keeps flipping between seeing the leaves in front of a colored background and seeing a randomly cut-out colored subject. Well done! |

A different view of neg space but it works just as well. |

Ha like reverse negative space. Love the idea and love the silhouettes. |

Ah - you've made use of the "Negative Space" in its pure form...well done. Not many others have "got it" and I also didn't risk taking the purist road.... Well done. This has a lot of interest and movement even though it's a fairly mundane subject. |

Really cool, it fits the challenge perfectly. It's a pitty that the rims from the lower leaves are not really sharp, the black looks less 'erased' from the picture than the top leaves. 9 |
