 30 second exposure at almost full moon, Jan 5th, 4 hours after sunset.

The moon is to the high left, outside the picture, the one bright spot you see on the left is the planet Mars. The light glow on the rocks is ice, it was minus 5 'C (=23 'F) at the time. The sea was gently rocking on the shore, but due to long exposure it looks smooth.

Image rotated to get horizon straight. Cropped, applied levels, followed by neatimage, resizing, unsharp mask, save for web.

This is a very lovely an satisfying image, the reach or the stones and the gentleness of the curve are good and the sky balances it all - very nice

What light there is reflecting off off the wet rocks makes this photograph captivating. Nice levels of blue throughout. 10.

Super use of line. The misty rocks are very lovely, too. The hardest thing in photography is getting the horizon straight--and you do that, too!

Beautiful, otherworldy photo. Makes me imagine some magical time that we never see but actually exists very briefly at night. Composition, exposure, and clarity is great. I knocked of 1 point and gave you a 9 because the horizon line looks slightly tilted to me. Sorry if it isn't! It may also be an optical effect of the little peninsula, but I stared at it for awhile and it doesn't look straight to me. Very cool though, they could have put this scene in Lord of the Rings.

cool shimmery glow on the rocks. I assume this was a long exposure from how light the image is. I'd be intrerested in the details after the challenge.

What makes your shot IMO is the water and rocks right in the middle foreground of the shot, beautiful light, texture, feel, a very high interest area.
