 The outside of the left earpiece on my Sennheiser HD 457 headphones. Macro taken with my reversed 50mm.

Lighting: A single flash about 40 degrees camera left.

Post processing: Converted from RAW in the Lightroom trial. Desaturated and added a blue photo filter adjustment layer. Levels adjustment layer to set the black point. Then the usual: USM, border and save for web.

Great detail in the texture, and I like the shallow dof and lighting. Maybe it's a knob for something? Or an orange juicer gadget? Or... I have no idea!

I like this a lot... nice lines and effective use of lighting. Perhaps just a bit more DOF as I would like to see all of this in focus. I like the black background as it complements the colors and shadows nicely.

This looks very familiar, like it's an everyday object we all see but don't recognize. Maybe a fan or part of a chair? It looks plastic. Very good lighting, nice and clear.
