Trying to get the negative space to lead the eye towards the colorful flower.

Almost no postprocessing, just some crop and a little decrease of blue saturation. Edited in Lightroom.

Maybe a bump in contrast or midtones would make this stand out a little better.

The light on the flower is a bit too flat. Nice idea.

gray is not a good choice for the background, white or black, I think, would make the poppy pop a bit better
