 bdenny is right for the first time I botched a title, it should have "When I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself. This photo was asked to be validated I think for possible dodging and burning. What i did to shape the light was take about an 8 inch piece of Aluminum foil and wrapped around the flash to make a homemade snoot, otherwise just converted to B&W with a black and white gradient map and a selective color adjustment layer underneath and a curve, light use shadows/highlights layer and USM. crop and save for web.

I think the given title is a) more interesting as a variant (slowing the reading/more time spent looking at the image) and b) just a little more profound, if only for questioning a cliche.

Nice top 30 finish, Joe, and I didn't even notice that you messed up the title until I read your comments. I think sometimes the brain just fills in the gaps... either that or I have a gap in my brain... : )

Awesome. Great perspective, lighting is almost flawless. Deserves a top five for sure. A trail of smoke from the cigarette would have pushed this into 10 territory. As it is you'll have to settle for my nine.
