My wife Carol, sat for this shot in a local park and used the sun to highlight the background to create the impact.

thanks for the votes and comments, i will know next time to white or black out the background instead of using natural color negative space.

I'm one of the weirdos who happens to like natural backgrounds, so keep using them if you like them too! (Hi Carol!) By the way, your wife does indeed make a lovely model - I love the hat!
