I wanted to do a parody of this shot by Cindi:

With only the column and the white background, minus the Cindi and title it "?idnic" but I figured it'd get hammered in voting. So along comes Kirby, my good vote charm. :-)

Lighting is typical of highkey. One softbox almost directly in front of the subject and one strobe pointed at the BG.

this is such a wild animal ...!!!!! .. lol lol ..
but soooooo cute ..
we have a miniature fox terrier called katee .. she is much cuter than your dog, but there are similarities .. lol lol .. i used to think that the miniature foxy was originally bred from fox terriers and chihuahua's but i googled the breed recently and found out that they were bred from a tenterfield terrier and fox terrier .. i think ..
anyway ... i love this photograph because the expression is so katee .. and of course incredibly endearing .. brilliant shot .. great in b&w ... i spose he could qualify as a wild animal if he wasnt wearing that damn collar !!!!!!!!

Awwwwwwwwww. . . .He's so cute! This is a wonderful negative space photo. It fits the challenge perfectly -- and has that heart tug factor that definitely ups the score in my book :)

For dear life by the look in his eyes. He looks a little nervous. your whites are a little hot here but great focus on the dog.

I love the high key approach and the way the column and the dog merge right into the background.

Very cute - I like the composition. The light is just a bit too blown out for my taste though

I think your photo is over sharpened and the white background really isn't working. The poor guy looks so sad...

Chihuahuas rule! I like the high key use in this photo, and the great use of neg. space.

Cute dog, great composition, good post editing, focus right on. The negative space is there but it doesn't add much - the image owuld be just as strong if cropped.

Oh this is wonderful. You wouldn't think of seeing a chihuahua on a carved pedestal like that. Nice tones - almost high key but not quite. Poor thing, she does not look happy. I think this is good. The line created by her back works well too. 8
