Well, I took a chance with this photo. I shot this with my old point and shot (Nikon Coolpix 4300) that I haven't used in a year. Went on a family vacation with my parents, my husband, my two kids, my two nieces and my sister to Dillard, Georgia to go whitewater rafting and hiking for water falls. This picture was taken at the Dillard House. After a long 11 hour car ride the kids were so excited about being there and amazed by the hills and trees. Florida doesn't look anything like this. Well, they were all hanging on the fence while my husband and dad checked into our lodgings. I snapped using my Nikon since it was handy so they would have a picture for their scrap book. Then I noticed the challenge when I got back and figured why not. I love the shot but realize it isn't exciting to others. Hope I did the scenery justice. It is so beautiful there.

Thanks for sharing the story with this. I was looking forward to reading about what they were looking at. Amazing that even kids get mesmerized by a beautiful landscape. :)

Nice scene. Sky is a little blown out. All in all though, there is not a lot of staying power to this shot. Too much like a snapshot.

Looks Like they are really enjoying the view. You should have moved that big bush for them. Haha! Nice sharp focus and beautiful colors! Pretty place! SO peaceful.

That looks like the Southern Appalachians. . .. It feels as if it needs to be rotated just a smidgeon to the left.
