Nice detail and I'll guess it's a Hungarian 1913 era can opener.

watch??

Is this one of those little wind up bug looking toys where it walks around cause of the wobbled rotation of that brass part on the top (really back right?)? DOF might be a tiny bit narrow but it also gives you a nice look at the whole thing yet keeps it from being boring. I wonder how it would be shot across the gears looking from one end to the other. Great use of lighting and keeping the colors simple.

Nice shot!

I guess it's one of those useful things that you can stick a business card on and watch it dance...

06/23/2007 07:37:29 AM
Good DOF but not sure this is enough of a "puzzle" for this challenge. Oh, I'll gues what it is, it's obviously a mechanism of some sort, I've seen little "toys" that can walk around your desk made of pieces like this.

06/21/2007 08:41:42 AM
No clue really but I'm trying to make a guess on everything so I'll say..... part of a sewing machine.
06/21/2007 06:35:49 AM
I don't know?
06/21/2007 04:45:04 AM
its either a part of a clock or a tattoo gun ?
06/21/2007 03:01:19 AM
I have one of those. Dance little guy
06/20/2007 10:21:50 PM
It's some simple clock works with an excentric disk on top to slow down the spinning. Probably not an accurate clock, but something to control something else moving.
06/20/2007 09:21:16 PM
