 Shot out the back window on the second floor of the building where I get my hair cut. Aren't you glad I added that tidbit? Not corrected for any skew - I like it askew. I like typing the word "askew". Editing was duplicating the background layer, changing blending mode to overlay, flattening, sharpen, resize.

On that note, I was going to askew a question. LOL just joking around.
I can see your time in a (hot place) with little to take pictures of has given you a minimalist approach to photography. I think this is a good thing. We go threw life with our blinders on chasing whatever the prize is that we are never able to obtain, somehow we miss the beauty in our everyday lives. Yet this morning I enjoyed a red bicycle, a bricked over, and a crooked window, and a leaf, sadly things that I would have passed with little or no thought, presented beautifully. Today you inspired me, I will have my wife drop me off at Snow Canyon SP, camera and one lens, forgetting the goal of looking forward, but taking a moment or two for seeing and feeling. Thank You Debâ€Â¦.

Love the drapes in that second window. Askew is just fine by me, there's more wall on the right to love that way.

Nice abstract quality to it. And your hi-contrast processing adds interest and emphasises the lines of this composition. I like it.

Isn't that Jimmy Stewart up there in the window waiting for a mystery to unfold? A lovely way of turning grit into beauty.

A few things really stand out here: I like the texture (the roughness really shows on the building to the right), the beautiful white box makes a great leading line. But the thing that grabbed my eye right away is the beautiful curtain treatment ... all those lovely ribbons make a great (and unique) window treatment.

I've got an askew too - you did the right thing. Did anyone ever ask the line if it wants to be straight? Love the reflections.
