A most excellent kayaking shot... this would have been one of my top scoreres, but I didn't get a chance to vote. :-(

My husband took up white water kayaking this past summer and sold his recreational kayak. I'm keeping my rec boat... I'll just photograph from the side. :-) Hard to believe this guy is in the water in Maryland in Dec/Jan. Amazing!

Beautiful freeze of the action, with perfect exposure and focus - not easy with a moving subject. I really like the movement and color in the water.

Good capture of motion - I like that you've got the canoeist face on and even have some eye contact. I've seen a lot of shots of this sport where that has not been achieved. In this case it helps communicate his determination and concentration. I'd crop a little more tightly at the left but otherwise, I think composition is good, aided by the rock and the diagonal of the oar.

Gotta love whitewater. When I was single, I was an avvid soloist whitewater canoer, and my husband was a kayaker! Great shot!

Very nice shot here, good high shutter speed to capture the water splshes. Can almost see this in B&W or masking out the guy and having everything else B&W. Well done! 9

You've captured a great shot here. Like the yellow against the gray, look of concentration is perfect, swirling waters add the element of movement.
