| This was a fun picture to get - I'm glad so many people liked it. First, I had to battle the bugs. Second, there were only a few minutes per day when the sunlight was hitting the berries. Otherwise, they were in deep shade. I shot over 3 days, this one occurring on the 3rd day. |

| this is really nice. the color of those berries is mesmerizing. great depth of field and positioning. for some reason, it doesn't quite grab me as much as some of my other favorites this week, but it's right up there with them. i think i tend to lean toward the more arty shots in general, which is why this more natural shot doesn't grab me as much. but i still really like it. good work. |

| I don't know what it is that keeps me coming back to this piece of fruit over the others. I suspect it is the color. Nicely positioned. Almost abstract. |

I would have liked this a lot more if you could have included all of the berries in your focus range, I do however like the shallow depth of field. |

OK, at first I marked this as a 7, but I'm changing to 8. At first glance, I thought, the coloring is so unreal-like....but now I'm thinking, why does it have to be real-like. This has really great composition and excellent DOF. It just really stands out. The blue looks great with the soft green background....OK, Now I've changed it to a 9, but that's it (..I know, I'm a pushover). I like abstract. This has that "look at me" quality...The berries just really stand out. The larger one on the bottom left, seems to almost be floating. Excellent work 9

| The Blue in these REALLY pops! Excellent composition. Maybe a stop down to catch the focus on the rear berries. But, the discrimination between front 9 and back three is great! If there were 9.5, you'd get that... but a 10 will have to suffice. - mjcecil |
