 Photographer’s Notes
• This is a macro close-up of a cut crystal vase.
• Title is a take-off on the film titles, “I Am Curious (Yellow)” – the original – and “I Am Curious (Blue)” the companion film.
• I wanted to show the complexity of the structure and hide the original subject in plain sight. I think I succeeded. I also wanted to shoot an uncommon subject, one that was unlikely to show up multiple times in the challenge. I think I succeeded here too.
• My fears: It’s not an interesting enough subject; it may be too busy; and it may require more time than most voters will give it. We’ll see.
