 Thank you everyone for your lovely comments and to those of you who have added this photo to your favorites.

I am so pleased on many levels, but most of all that I seem to have conveyed something in this photo that resonates with others. That is an exciting step for me in my photography.

Though I am not at all as waifish as the girl in the photo, I have often felt similarly separate - half dissolving, half overly visible.

I really like this! I've been looking at it for a while to try and figure out what appeals to me. The overall tones, comp and light are excellent. I really love that we can't see her eyes, and the hair falling down the face covering one of them. The dark shadowy figure on the left adds some mytery and the background is interesting with long dark vertical lines that emphasise and compliment her long hair. Altogether very pleasing and I just like looking at it!! :)
