 last week i finally broke in top 20 with why challenge, now i just broke in top 10, i am aiming for top 5 now:)

on another note

i would like to point out that these were 2 kids on the beach, they were not performers and they had no idea that i was taking their pictures. in fact i was shooting something for transition and they kinda popped in my viewfinder so i did not hesitate.

i remember this from the challenge, i did not comment at the tim tho i liked it alot...still do but i would love to see the color version, some blu water would be really cool on this

While this is a great photograph, I kind of struggle accepting this as a candid in the true sense. Sports & performances such as musicians, though can be candids, are often more decisive moments and as such, the people in them are in a way, performing, thus in a way, know they are being watched and often photographed. Not necessarily the case here, but is on that fine edge for me. Congrats on a high finish in this challenge, and certainly applaud your timing on this.

Cool shot. You have some serious oversharpening artifacts around both people. This often happens when you have very dark against very light or vice versa and you push the usm to far...

Lovely B&W conversion and a great moment in time. Many people may not consider this to be a pure candid but I love it. Power and grace (although the elongated socks are a bit surreal) -8
