 Me: Hey, I've got this night-time silhouette photo I sorta like.
I: What challenges are going on right now?
Me: Well, there's Pure.
I: No, even you couldn't stretch that one. Hey, how about Transitions?
Me: Sure, day turning into night, yada yada. That'll work!
I: You're pathetic.

Shot at a star party for the Madison Astronomical Society. Camera sitting on the ground, propped by a bunched up blanket. Pointed up at these guys and told them to stand/sit still for a moment.

Shadow/highlights
Neat
Crop and rotate
Little USM on the final resize.

The stars on the left are visibly trailed, even at the 640 crop. I don't think that could actually be the Earth's movement in only 15 seconds, so I think the camera may have slumped a bit on that side because the tree over there seems a bit more blurred too.

I've always loved photos like this, with a bit of a glow on the horizon and the red-highlighted silhouettes of a telescope and the people using it.
