Rare chance for a sleep-in this morning cos it was too wet to head out shooting. When I finally stumbled out of bed this was the sorry soggy sight I saw when I looked out the kitchen window. She was sitting in the rain waiting for her breakfast.

cropped slightly, curves, hue/sat, resize, USM.

Wow, Sue -- such a nice variety in your entries so far this month. You have a good empathy with animals, too. I like the DOF of this and the subject, of course. The raindrops underneath the perch really add to the subject. Don't worry about the bird -- he's built to keep the water on the outside. :-)

The composition, the angle, and the border are perfection.

You sure have a knack with the birds. She looks like she's pretty patient.

Wonderful capture of a moment-in-time for this creature. Birds wait outside my window for me to refill the birdfeeders, so I know where you are coming from. Looks like this bird was waiting on you, too! Aren't they so sweet? You captured this fragile, sweetness with your nice, soft image.

That little guy just looks so sorrowful. It must be quite a hardship to be stuck outside in all types of weather. This is a wonderful capture of a small bird, so much feeling. Beautiful.

Nice shot... it looks like you can just see some of the rain falling in the background. I wonder if you could bring that out a bit more to really show the story that she's sitting out there while it's raining?
