 Let there be color! ha...I was working outside all day long and took about 50 images, but couldn't decide between the lawnmower image, the cola can or the windchimes. I decided to go with something different and took a shot that was not set-up.

It was windy, so the focus is off in places. Should have used the tripod.

I played around with 5 different images of the windchimes. I played with PP and decided in the end to just use levels, resize for web and unsharp mask.

Should I include the shot where I blurred the background on purppose using neat image? I decided against using it because it looked fake to me, but I did like the blurred background. This image is so busy...I'll reshoot this again trying the methods you all recommended in hopes of getting the background softer.

Cool shot, I love the color of the chimes. I agree that a bit more of a blurred background would help keep the focus on the chimes.

Beautiful shot! The movement of the chimes in the wind is nice. The colors of the chimes are nice with the sun shining on them.

Looks like a beautiful day. I like that you offset the chime to the side and had it fill the entire right side. I agree with ssodell, that the blurred background would look nice with a shallow dof if you ever tried this one again.

Nice Nice Nice, try it with a smaller DOF. That would look cool with a blurred green background focusing right on the colorful chimes. Well I just read that it was not set up. But set your lens to 300 and back up to fit it in the frame, you probably need a tripod for this. It should blur the background and focus right on the chimes.
