 Taken again late at night cos the day was too filled with stuff. I don't want to rerun Saturday, just glad it's over.

Started with the same 18-55 kit lens and the el-cheapo marumi close up lenses. Over head light to try and boost shutterspeed......still a bit iffy, but better. Sheet of white paper on a little table for background. Tried the veins on a lettuce leaf first .....boring!!! Then noticed the golden syrup bottle, thought I'd try seeing how it looked as it poured into a dish on the paper.......blurry and incredibly messy when I missed the dish!!!!

Change paper, wash dish, wipe floor. Next subject was same little dish with water, food colouring and dish washing liquid. Looked at the time and realized I'd been mucking round for ages so this it it for today. I think I probably needed to spend that time just mucking round.

ps. water, food colouring and dish washing liquid is way easier than golden syrup to clean off when you spill it :))

I really like this effect very much, and pleased you finally got a result from all that mucking about.....

Quite an ordeal to come up with this shot... but worth it. I had considered shooting the bubbles in my glass today, but I certainly wasn't planning to spend that much effort on it! Nice colors and I like the variety of bubble sizes.

Oh, and the border... nice to see a different take on the normal black border with the white matting. It works well here :)

Nice bubbles, sounds like you had quite a time. Now we can start thinking of tomorrow. Sometimes I think I'm running out of ideas. Nice job.
