Nothing could be further from the truth. This delightful gentleman is always at our market and when this challange was announced I went to the market with him in mind. I have always found him interesting and quite fun to talk to. So I just started taking shots of him just being him and this came up by chance. I went over and asked if I could use his image for this and he laughed and asked me if he was really that interesting to take a photo of. I showed him the photos and he said yes.

Thats all no pose just pure luck.

Hi Max,
I think the composition and Framing are a bit off here. With the main subject being the farmer and his shoe the extra info in the image (side of truck to wall) take away from your overall point (farmer & shoe) cropping out the window and the front end of the truck would helped this image greatly. The image seems to be a 1/2stop or so overexposed and the colors washed out. Color washout is often the effect of over exposure a high sun say around noon or a combination of the two.

This looks just a touch over-exposed. maybe a touch of contrast would help that. also, I think a crop that "cut off" the front of the truck and showed more on the right, so that we could see what he was selling would be more interesting.

There is some overexposure here and it takes away from the picture for me..

This is quite flat. It could probably be improved by boosting the levels and some curves adjustments.

An interesting image, but seems a little washed out on my monitor

Way too overexposed. Try bringing it down with some levels.

I think this could use a little more contrast. I like how the truck isn't "parked" correctly..haha.

Nice pose - Must be an ex-model! Colours seem a tad washed out though.
