 This is a shot of several groups of athletes preparing to take the plunge in the icy cold water of the South Platte River at the foot of Waterton Canyon. I was advised by some of the swimmers that a few of them are triathaletes practicing in the frigid waters, hence the wetsuits. Maybe the two with the blue caps are but I am not sure about the rest. There were a lot of divers there as well. The sun was out and glaring which in Colorado is hard to avoid even during the early morning hours with your back to it, so this is overexposed a bit, but mostly just basic editing and crop. A stray hand jumped into the shot on the left and a head bowed into the shot on the right so these items were cropped out. Maybe I should have left them in to add humor to candidness.

Good shot, but it is almost too busy, I think. If you could have chosen just one or two to include in the shot, it may have had more impact
