a pefect moment
one of my favorite things about this is the way that the father is so holding his coffee cup and the way they both casually have their hands in their pocket
i would love to eat at this place... i bet it's darn good!!
thanks for sharing this, i chose it as my top pick for the challenge and posted it in this thread |

Glad that I didn't have to look too long for it. It's a brilliant image. I would have liked it to be placed even higher, but I don't want to get started on that. Another wonderful image for the portfolio. You are doing really well, Ed. |

Did you go back after the first picture and tell him about it? I'd love to know the story behind this second pic. |

Well done Ed.
The story here stands on it's own, and it's nice to see no 1's, 2's or 3's on this. |

Looks like the butchers in York. Amazing capture. Great in B+W. Superb 10/10 from sunny Accrington. |

Great shot. We dont see this transition as often these days, and the BW represents that fact. I like a lot! |

I think I've seen that butchers shop before around here. But it is so full of character, I cannot get tired of the sight. 8. |

Shambles is the old English word for butchers. Here in York we have a very old street called The Shambles, after the many butchers shops that were located there; sadly the last one closed a couple of years ago to make way for yet another shop selling tourist tat. I like this photo - it sums up all that is good about independent family shops. Very well done. |

Butchers are becoming extinct, so this image really evokes strong feelings from me. Quite a great image, imo. |

Is this the Shambles in York, UK? This is a nice shot though he density seems pretty high. Still, I'd hang it on my wall. |

I like how the father is standing up on the doorway and the son is down on the sidewalk. Great tones here. I love it. It creates a story in the viewer's mind even if we don't know what the "true" one is. Great mixture of textures and tones. |
