There are a lot of good aspects in his photograph but there generally ruined by lack of the true focal point to which the viewer can hang her hat on. Perhaps the best aspect of the photo is that awesome tree in the background. That's really the saving grace in this one.

The idea behind this photo is a good one, but everything seems to be out of focus. Also, placing the subject in the middle of the composition is rather unappealing.

I'd recommend focusing on the trash rather than the tree and background

The image is very dull. Could be interesting with light.

Wish it was more focused on the trash and not the tree.

It is hard for me to vote a picture of trash very high. It certainly does beg the question "Why" though.

I am not a good photographer, I do not claim to be better than anyone, any criticism is meant to be constructive criticism......

This certainly fits the challenge well. I will never understand how anyone can be so sloppy! A good journalistic shot.

Harsh lighting and the focus on the tree instead of on the trash can which by your title appears to be your subject are hurting this photo.

weird...unclear on how it fits the challenge, out of focus and the flash kills it....3
