| I think that the mistake of this picture is the title....it should be "Japanese tacky holiday decoration" because in fact this is tacky decoration in japanese style.Only Dave Gordon understand in a way my intention.I think that this contest is for whoever from anywhere in this world,not only for western eyes and minds. |

Interesting subject. Not tacky, but very different so it fits well for me.
It's captured a little to straight: while the angle of view is just right (it hangs from a roof, doesn't it?) light is not very attractive. The background is nice. |

| This is a pretty decoration, not at all tacky - at least not to these Western eyes. It's a nicely lighted and clearly detailed picture, and the decoration is interesting, so I'll rate it that way and give it a 7. |

Technical: to me this doesn't fit the challenge- this is the opposite of tacky. Exposure composition focus lighting all good.
Personal: Nice photo, but doesn't fit the theme.
