This was pretty interesting. I took colored cellophane wrapping paper and taped it over my light sources, several different flashlights with each one a different color. Fed the horse grain to make him stay put, he only wandered off a couple of times. I took a handful of pix but didn't get quite what I was looking for. I went back to the barn a couple of hours later and tried again when the moon was up. Third try & voila! Blue covered flashlight with cardboard hood, the red light is from a streetlight and the moon made light in the sky. How the horse stayed mostly still for 30 full secinds I have no idea but he's such a good sport! BTW the camera was set on timer so I could push the button and run over to start painting the horse. If you look really close yuo can see a ghost of my jeans where I stood still a bit too long.

The hardest part was when I got back to my computer two images did not want to download. An error, but iView could see it and I knew I wanted this one bad. I had to employ a photo rescue program to get it so I sure hope that if this gets a validatioin request that my file is really intact. (fingers crossed!)

Cool idea! Would have preferred to see a little more of the horse's head, but otherwise striking!

I like the use of the painted light here, accenting the main subject and creating interest. The shades and colors that appear throughout add to the effect for me. Nicely done. 9

I would have liked to see more of the horse's face. It kind of blends in with the shadows.

the only thing working against this image is that the pony moved slightly.

The subject matter is interesting, but there is no reason why there should be light trails on the pony, nor are they that well-executed. If you had created the form of a rider on the pony, that would have been awesome!

Wish the focus was on the front instead of the rear. The colors are nice but overall really don't see what the painting adds to your image, no real purpose to it.
