 Taken at a local zoo this picture turned out the way how I wanted it to be; it became even better with the strange look the bird expresses. Unfortunately it was pretty cloudy so the light wasn't optimal and therefore I had to use a very high ISO value which resulted in lots of noise.

Anyway I think there is enough action into it to meet at least the challenge. I used the burn tool to remove some excessive reflections in the upper left corner and adjusted the contrast a little. I had to apply NeatImage to remove the noise a little (I couldn't remove too much as this would have removed too many details of the bird). This shot was taken with my 70-200 F/4.0 lens.

Not quite. Gannets dive from above, this bird just comming up. But the shot is Great. I assume from a boat.

Closeups of birds are always amazing, because you don't realize how much expression their faces show. This is a great capture.
