We dropped my daughter off in Ocean City, MD for Senior Week, and spent a few hours walking the boardwalk. I shot this from the boards (I didn't want to get sand in my shoes). Used a circular polarizer. I wish I had closed the aperature a little more, and maybe gotten everything a little sharper.

I really like this shot.
BUT...
Sometimes i like the bird and other times i don't.
Now this takes the score betwwen a 10 and a 9. So depending on what i think at roll over...
But i like the dead space at the top and bottom. I love the lightness of the clouds and the colours are great.

Simple, elegant - the seagull is a great addition - pulls the elements of the shot together, sky and beach and what's inbetween. It is hard at this resolution to see any detail in the sand or nets... I'd like to see a bigger version, but that's challeneg size, what can you do?

I'm big on negative space but this does seem like it has too much. good color in the sky.

to me, there's just too much empty space. I understand what you were attempting. I would have preferred just a little more cropped off the top. Still leaving a ratio of 6:1, sky to sand. Either way, a nice shot!
