Nice graph. Two things I noticed:
No-one shoots at f11?
I would like to know more exact figures (just to know them). Your graph does add up to 100%, but the fugures are rounded off. The lines that show 1% are not the same length.

As for your question, you should buy the best glass you can afford, since you will use it on more than one camera in your lifetime(unless you are one of those who switches brands while selling off you glass, you will be rewarded with better images for little price on a cost of image basis. Fast glass is even sharper and has a better background "bokeh" when you stop it down.
