I shot this in my kitchen this afternoon, but it took me this long to get it ready because of such a busy day. I adjusted the levels and ran it thru the neat image ... my first time to use this program btw, and unsharp masked, resized for web. I took over 200 images of different objects today, finally settling on this one. For some reason I'm nervous, but here goes!

Definitely not something to be nervous about; first off, it's a delightful image; second, as Jeanne said, no grading here, no dnmc, no nastiness. If you want more in-depth critiques (by the way, I don't have any here, I like it as is), just ask, people are willing to give them; but if you're happy to have people just appreciate your images, then post, but don't be nervous! :)

hey, THANKS for the encouraging remarks, it's greatly appreciated. I don't have a real studio, I find the lighting in my kitchen is so pretty in the afternoon because the sky bounces off my neighbor's windows sending this wonderful blue light into the room, so it makes the lighting perfect for photographing metals. Only one problem ...the time frame is small for the lighting to work well in that area.

No need to be nervous. We don't grade in these challenges. We're the warm and fuzzy part of DPC.
I really like the background for the shot. The soft shadow works so perfectly on that background. I think the contrast is great.
Very nice image.

I love how the circles aren't quite concentric. Also, the light and shadow in this is lovely.

The measuring cups match the table top well. It may be a touch too contrasty.

Yes, excellent lighting. Is this natural light or did you set up a home studio of some kind?
