 edits: raw conversion, 180 rotation, 180 rotation was needed because I took the picture with the camera upside down, with my left hand.

The surf and waves were soo glassy and clean that day... I decided to get in on the fun. I was using a water housing for my 20D while surfing using my 8'0" longboard and photographing at the same time.

Some of you are right, I could have bump up the contrast a notch because my skin is a bit darker and more tanned than the photo. Aloha and Mahalo for all the comments and suggestions.

This shot stopped me in my tracks during the challenge, as it has such a reality to it, be it "perfect" or not. I am so disappointed in it's placement and would have been ecstatic to have taken this shot, and doubly proud to have submitted it.

i think this photo finished WAY to low...i loved it...i can't believe some people want to complain about the horizon or crop on the foot..to me that adds to the action feel of the shot...sometimes i think they should change the name of this site to dpcriticize!

Stop motion is amazing as well as the angle. Might have a touch more "spike" to it if the colors were a bit more defined on the board, a bit more saturation...but that is just me, I like colors (8)
