First off, waiting for a mammogram is a BAD idea and regular self exams help to detect cancer earlier.

Secondly, this is a top-selling stock photo which makes me money.

So, in two sentences you've proven you have absolutely no idea what the hell you are talking about.

i think the fact that he hasn't posted a response to this says all we need to know....

Actually no... mispositioned key light. I hate when models move... LOL Easily fixed in Advanced rules. Just something I had to live with in basic.

I think it's a good message, pure and simple. I'll ignore that it's not the exactly correct position because it's an artistic entry in a photo contest, not an instructional poster.

My only question for you is whether you intended for the right side of her face to be so bright.

Either way, well done!

This comment is a personal attack which is entirely misguided. Regarding the first part - the photo encourages early self-examination rather than putting people off mammograms, that seems reasonably obvious to me. As for the second part - how rude! Just who do you think you are? Actually, no, wait, don't answer that. Please.

Great photo Leroy :) Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

He didn't say substitute and it is far from a snap shot. As well protecting ones images is a good idea. I think you need to mellow out man.

Nice clear picture, the skin tones are right on.

I only wish that for this image, it were more correct with how to do a mammogram (arm raised and looking into the mirror instead of at the breast and twisted). But not going to drop points for that. Just my opinion. Good message for sure!

Fantastic. I really like this. It's sexy but the sexy aspect is not, visually, the point, which works really well with your concept. It also looks like maybe a self portrait at arms length - if so then it worked out very well. Lighting and colors are pretty awesome too.

A little too overexposed on the face.....I think I would also like to see a little more of her face, maybe some emotion (Worry, fear, exhaustion.... Something) Good idea though.

I am not a good photographer, I do not claim to be better than anyone, any criticism is meant to be constructive criticism......

I looks like the side of her face is either blownout (perhaps only on my monitor?) or just unevenly overexposed. Hard to tell whether that was an artistic choice or "bad technicals". I'll assume the best. 10

Maybe some softer lighting.

lighting is harsh on her face and shoulder, i think you could have does as well cropping down on this one - at least as it relates to your title.
