The Hoover Dam, taken from a chopper during my recent holiday to Nevada. It was a spectacular day, flew from Las Vegas over Lake Mead and the Damn and then down below the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. To be honest, whilst I love my shots of the canyon they dont do its magnificent splendour justice so I thought I would go for this, although it appears to have lost a touch in PP resizing

I was going through peoples portfolio to see there b/w photos and I stumbled upon yours. I gave this a 9 during the challenge. I just loved the tones and the perspective. I just have to make this one of my favorites. It should have done better.

Jon congrats on a very nice FS score! If this lost something in resize the larger version must be spectacular because this is just awesome!! Love your processing here as well, very nice tonal range and very good exposure control, way to go!!

I thought this was Hoover Dam. Loved your title. I've never seen it from this perspective before. Pretty good job for taking this from a moving object. Love that you can see the light reflection in the water. Excellent black and white contrasts!

Great capture! I love the directing lines and PP here, can't imagine what was lost with the resizing.

boy, you have a tall tripod! I think it would be just that much better if it were a little crisper in focus

Really nice shot. The uneven frame is way to large for the photo and is distracting and overpowering.

Wow, the water is really low there. Was this an aerial shot? I don't recall any peaks that high right on top of the dam but it has been a while since I was out there. Nice shot, btw. :-)
