 I have no idea what a dog has to do with Christmas ...but there he was up on someones front lawn. Saw this on my way back from a movie at 1 A.M. and had to get my camera and take a couple of shots ( at around 1.20 A.M. !!! )
I was trying to get just the lawn decoration but a car passing by added to the effect.
(Too bad the spot editing was not allowed as I would have liked to remove the light in the center of the frame !)

Unfortunately, I have no clue as to where to start on an in depth critique for this photo. I believe this challenge was meant more for humor value than anything else. Your shot definitely meets the challenge.

I would have liked this better cropped to remove the stripes at the bottom of the frame. The dog on its own make a nice composition

Technical: fits the challenge. Exposure looks relatively good. Composition is interesting. Focus looks like it's soft on the subject. Lighting good.

Personal: An interesting shot but the lack of sharpness bugs me.
