 I was trying to illustrate magnetism for the Science challenge. Used a table lamp at a shallow angle from the right hand side. Editing steps were RAW conversion curves and levels to try to "make it pop".
I've ticked the critique box because i was very happy with what i've got as a finished image, i know it is only a day into the voting but it is looking like my lowest scoring image for the last year.

Great magnetic lines. I like your use of desaturation and a clever title. Could be improved by shooting at a slightly different angle and a smaller aperture to get more lines in focus.

I really like this. Very nicely composed. Not sure how you got the selective focus (lensbaby or warped surface?). Neat.
