The title really does fit the image. I get a feeling of mass and dominance. I like the tones and contrast between the soft moody clouds to the rough textures and terrain. Very nice image! |

Your choice of subject is excellent for this challenge. The mono conversion was done well. The composition is a little off, with the horizon in the middle of the photo. You should try it next time with the horizon on the lower third line. The image looks a little soft overall all too, which should be able to be fixed with USM. |

Cool rock formation and I like the black/white. I can't really determine the scale here; would like to see a person in the photo. |

Well executed, though the shadows seem to have lost a lot of detail (probably mostly due to the contest restrictions on submissions). I like the composition, and B&W seems to work well. Not sure it screams "science" to me, though. |
